A Common Place is Longwood’s new literary journal. We accept submissions from any undergraduate student at Longwood. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring writers to become familiar with the submission process, begin publishing their work, and connect to the literary community as a whole.

For our first issue, we’d like to read as many submissions as possible! We accept fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. If you’re interested in submitting work, visit our Submissions page for more information about each genre. After carefully checking these submission guidelines, send your work to acommonplacelitmag@gmail.com, where it will be reviewed by our editors. Submissions for our upcoming Spring 2022 issue are due by Sunday, December 12, 2021. Authors will be notified in the spring.

UPDATE: The submission deadline has now been extended to midnight on Sunday, December 12, 2021. This extension applies to all genre submissions!
