
We know revision can be a difficult process. Here are five tips to get the most out of revision before submitting.
1.) No Distractions.
Find a tidy space you feel productive in. The library is a personal favorite.
Block off certain times of the day, or week, specifically for revision. Set a timer for 60 minutes.
2.) Read Your Work Out Loud
This is vital. Reading out loud helps to identify run-on sentences, misplaced words and repeated phrases.
3.) Break Revision into Tasks
Section your revision as you go. Choose two paragraphs and revise the grammar.

4.) Take a Break
Put your work down for a day or two. Fresh eyes will catch those pesky typos and inconsistencies.

Before submitting your work, send it to a friend or fellow creative writer. A second pair of eyes can help point commonly overlooked mistakes.
