Chloe Johnson | Editor-in-Chief

Chloe Johnson is an undergraduate at Longwood University, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Race and Ethnic Studies. She enjoys writing and analyzing literature. When not writing she can often be found baking or napping with her cat Calcifer. She is looking forward to being a part of A Common Place and helping new authors become part of the literary community.

Tim Mercado | Editorial Assistant

Tim Mercado is an undergraduate student at Longwood University. They are an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing. When they aren’t cuddled up with a book, they like to learn more about environmental sustainability and activism. They love to swing on hammocks with friends and play games with their family. They are looking forward to helping out A Common Place.

Amy Nardini | Editorial Assistant

Amy is an undergraduate at Longwood University majoring in Environmental Policy with a minor in Creative Writing and Philosophy. When she isn’t reading a book, she can probably be found writing short stories, sipping coffee, or looking for mushrooms and bugs. She is super excited to help short story writers publish their work in A Common Place!

Audrey Olejasz | Senior Art Editor

Audrey Olejasz is a junior majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing at Longwood University. She loves the arts, consuming copious amounts of fiction in its various forms, and collecting obscure things like feathers, lost keys, dead bugs, and earrings. She is excited to help bring visual art to the literary world with A Common Place!

Erin Pechin | Poetry Editor

Erin Pechin is an undergraduate at Longwood University, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in business. She loves fantasy, romance, and horror, but poetry has always had a special place in her heart. In her free time she loves to swim, read, and write poetry. She can’t wait to read other Longwood students’ work.

Bri Pegram | Prose Editor

Bri Pegram is an undergraduate student at Longwood University, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in business. She loves her pet dog Sandy, video essays about books, and any book that catches her eye. In her free time, she loves to draw, listen to music and read. She looks forward to working with A Common Place this year!

Sarah is an undergraduate at Longwood University, majoring in English with a concentration in Literature. She enjoys reading, drinking tea, and playing with her cat. Sarah is very excited to help bring the fourth edition of A Common Place to life.

Jensen Tomalesky | Prose Reader

Jensen Tomalesky is an undergraduate attending Longwood University, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She enjoys reading fantasy, literary fiction, and psychological thrillers. In her free time, she likes to read, drink coffee, and play with her cat. She is looking forward to seeing the submissions coming to A Common Place by fellow Longwood students. 

Maria D’Alema | Prose Reader

Maria is an undergraduate at Longwood University majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She can be found with her nose stuck in a book and quoting a Disney movie or two. Editing and writing are her passions and she can’t wait to help others on their writing journey starting with A Common Place!

She is Keiana Harris! She’s an English Major with a Concentration in Creative Writing. She loves horror movies and writing horror stories. She’ll become a writer-editor for a government agency. Her favorite hobby is dancing, she loves Hello Kitty, and ENHYPEN!

Edison Moscar | Prose Reader

Edison Moscar is an undergraduate at Longwood University, double majoring in English Creative Writing and Secondary Education with a minor in Medieval and Early Modern Studies. Tori Labott | Poetry Reader

Victoria (Tori) Labott is an undergraduate at Longwood University, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Creative Writing. She loves writing, watching anime, and listening to all types of music. Victoria has always known she wants to be a teacher, but writing and creating stories has always been her second passion. She’s excited and can’t wait to see other people’s talent and art be appreciated in A Common Place.

Rebekah is a senior majoring in English with a concentration in Professional Writing. She has a goal of working in the publishing industry and helping people publish their writing! In her free time, Rebekah enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing with her dog, Henry.
